MCI’s reporting is in accordance with the GRI G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines at the core level.

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a multi-stakeholder organisation that provides a globally applicable framework for sustainability reporting. The framework sets out principles and indicators to measure and report on economic, environmental and social performance.

We currently report in accordance with the G4 ‘Core’ application level. It represents a balanced and reasonable presentation of our organisation’s economic, environmental and social performance.

The guidelines require that the Group reports in accordance with GRI on our strategy, our profile, our management approach, and our performance. We also complete the Event Organisers Sector Disclosure which includes additional indicators addressing needs that are unique to event businesses.

Climate Change
Understanding climate change in order to understand the potential and actual effect on our business, and managing our emissions as a way to contribute to addressing the challenge of climate change.

  • Boundary: Our internal GHG emissions occur under our operational control and under the control of our employees. Our primary areas of impact are air travel, commuting and energy consumption in our offices. In each of these areas, we aim to find a balance between reducing our impact while maintaining the level of service and quality for our clients. 99% of our total emissions are created by the events we organise for our clients. We have little control over these but can influence. The quality and breadth of the digital solutions we use and offer our clients is material.
